Choose a grid width for planning
A narrower grid makes a simpler build with fewer cells. A wider grid preserves more recognizable detail and produces a larger material list.

How do I make Minecraft pixel art from an image?
Upload an image, choose a grid width, and start with the Minecraft Wool palette. Review the block counts, then copy them or download a clean or grid PNG.
What are the Wool and Concrete palettes?
They are two named 16-color presets that use approximate sRGB matching for Minecraft-style planning. You can switch between them, Original, and the other built-in palettes.
How are the material counts calculated?
Each non-transparent logical grid cell is matched to the selected fixed palette and counted once. The counts are estimates for planning materials, not an automatic construction list.
Do transparent pixels count as blocks?
No. Fully transparent grid cells are preserved in the image but excluded from material counts. Partially transparent cells still count based on their rendered color.
What can I download?
The clean PNG has no grid lines. The grid PNG enlarges the same logical result with readable grid lines so you can inspect the cells. Both are PNG files.
Can this make a schematic or import file for Minecraft?
No. This page does not create schematics, litematics, mcfunction files, PDFs, commands, or files that import directly into the game.
Is my image uploaded or processed by an official Minecraft service?
