Pixel Art Converter: Choose Pixel Size and Palette
A useful pixel-art conversion is not just a filter. Start with a pixel size that matches the amount of detail you want, then decide whether the original colors or an included palette better fits the image.

Pixel size controls how large each block becomes. If you want a more recognizable subject, begin with a smaller block size. If you want a deliberately low-resolution or retro look, increase the block size and compare the result before downloading.
There is no universal best setting: an image with a clear silhouette usually tolerates larger blocks better than a busy image with many small details.
Then choose a color treatment
ImagePixel lets you keep Original colors or apply one of its built-in palettes. The included choices cover retro looks such as Game Boy, PICO-8 and grayscale. Use Original when preserving the source colors matters; choose a palette when you want a more constrained visual style.
The tool does not currently let you upload or create a custom palette. Do not rely on it for a specific brand color system or a custom export format.

- Use the before/after comparison to make the choice, then download the final PNG.
