Image Pixelator Online: Turn a Photo Into Pixel Art

Use an online image pixelator when you want to try a pixel-art treatment quickly, compare the result, and save one PNG without installing an editor.

Open ImagePixel

How the online workflow works

  1. Choose an image on your device from the ImagePixel converter.
  2. Set the pixel size and, if useful, try an included retro palette.
  3. Compare before and after. When the visual treatment is right, download the result as a PNG.

What ImagePixel does and does not do

ImagePixel processes the conversion locally in your browser. It gives you pixel-size control, built-in palettes, a preview / comparison view, and a PNG download.

It does not claim to generate new art with AI, repair an image, use WebGL or WebAssembly, supply a custom palette editor, or export JPG and WebP files. Keep those limits in mind when selecting a tool for a larger production workflow.

Get a cleaner first attempt

Start with an image whose main subject is easy to recognize. Try a smaller pixel size if the subject loses important detail. If the goal is a stronger retro style, increase the pixel size or compare a built-in palette before committing to the PNG download.
